Responsible Gaming initiatives around the world
The research examined the global Responsible Gaming landscape, with the goal of identifying and studying the best international organizations and assessing potential opportunities for the Italian market.
During the IGE-Italian Gaming Expo conference in April 2024, the FAIR Foundation presented the results of its first research. Carried out by the consulting firm OC&C, the research examined the global landscape of Responsible Gaming, with the aim of identifying and studying the best international organisations and assessing potential opportunities for the Italian market.
The study identified international best practices in the field of Responsible Gaming. In particular, however, the analysis highlighted the lack of a unique and accessible model of independent research and study in Italy, considering the current panorama as extremely fragmented, characterised by partial and isolated initiatives.
The world of Responsible Gaming proves to be heterogeneous in the different countries, and in particular there are four most relevant Responsible Gambling Foundations in the world, including the Responsible Gambling Council in Canada, the National Council on Problem Gambling in the US, the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation in Australia and the SA Responsible Gambling Foundation in South Africa.
